“Humanity’s biggest progress takes time.”

Humanity’s biggest challenges unfold over years, decades or longer. Curing disease, new scientific discoveries, navigating financial markets… But today’s AI still operates within short horizons, e.g. minutes, hours or days.

Chengxi Taylor is Co-founder & President of General Reasoning, a London-based AI research company. Her work focuses on scaling AI models to long horizons, enabling them to pursue long-term goals while adapting to changing, unpredictable conditions.

She believes long-horizon thinking is not just a technical challenge, but a mindset: the ability to hold purpose, adapt and keep making progress towards goals, both in machines and in ourselves.
